Frequently Asked Questions
What gear does my child need to wrestle?
Wrestlers will need wrestling shoes, headgear, and a mouthguard (if they have braces). A team singlet will be provided at the start of the season and must be returned unless you choose to purchase one.
How long is the wrestling season?
Our season typically runs from early November through mid-March, with optional tournaments held most Sundays from December to March. The exact start and end dates may vary slightly.
How are wrestlers grouped for practice and competition?
Wrestlers are grouped by age, weight, and skill level to ensure safe and fair matchups. Our coaches work hard to create balanced groups that help each athlete grow and compete at their level.
What if my child has no experience?
No problem! Many of our athletes are brand new to the sport. Our program is designed to teach fundamentals in a supportive environment, and we focus heavily on learning.
What if we can’t make every practice or tournament?
Showing up regularly allows wrestlers to steadily build their skills, especially as they are introduced to new moves and tactics. We strongly encourage attending practices often to get the most from the program and gain confidence on the mat.
